Sinmyah Amera Ceasar used social media accounts to promote ISIS and recruit fighters for the terrorist group. She pleaded guilty to material support charges and agreed to become a cooperating witness for the government. While released on bail, she violated the terms of her release and her cooperation agreement by connecting online with numerous individuals she had identified as supporters of ISIS and other extremist groups. She then tried to delete her electronic communications and pleaded guilty to an additional obstruction of justice charge.
